Casing Shoes

Casing Shoes

MSD casing shoes include threaded and welded configurations for 12 matching casing tube OD sizes from 108 to 325 mm, with listed dimensions and weights.

Product Descriptions

MSD supplies casing shoes as casing-end components for drilling casing assemblies. The confirmed product range contains threaded and welded configurations for 12 matching casing tube OD sizes from 108 to 325 mm.

Both tabs list the matching casing tube OD, casing-shoe outer diameter, minimum inner diameter, matching tube wall thickness, and weight. The threaded series also lists Square Tooth or Arc Thread connections and left-hand rotation, so the complete configuration and connection method should be checked before ordering.

Drilling Casing Shoes

Casing shoes are casing-end components used with casing tubes in drilling casing assemblies. This page covers the shoe product itself: its threaded or welded configuration, matching tube size, listed dimensions, connection details where applicable, and weight.

A casing shoe is not a complete casing system and does not determine whether the assembly uses an eccentric or concentric drilling mechanism. The shoe must instead be matched to the selected casing tube and the complete casing assembly.

Threaded and Welded Configurations

The current MSD range is divided into Threaded Casing Shoes and Welded Casing Shoes. Each tab contains 12 confirmed configurations for matching casing tube OD sizes of 108, 114, 127, 146, 168, 178, 183, 194, 219, 245, 273, and 325 mm.

Threaded configurations list the thread type and rotation in addition to the dimensional fields. The 108 and 114 mm threaded shoes use Square Tooth connections; the listed 127–325 mm threaded shoes use Arc Thread connections. All listed threaded configurations use left-hand rotation. The welded tab does not assign thread or rotation values.

Confirmed Dimensions and Weights

For both product groups, the table gives the matching casing tube OD, casing-shoe outer diameter, minimum inner diameter, matching casing tube wall thickness, and weight. Values must be read from one complete row because a matching tube OD alone does not confirm every required dimension.

The threaded and welded configurations can also differ at the same matching tube OD. For example, the listed 114 mm threaded shoe has a 92 mm minimum inner diameter and weighs 3 kg, while the listed 114 mm welded shoe has a 91 mm minimum inner diameter and weighs 2.5 kg. The required connection method must therefore be confirmed before comparing dimensions or weight.

Relationship With Casing Tubes and Casing Systems

The casing tube forms the tubular part of the assembly, while the casing shoe is the separate component fitted at the casing end. Matching requires more than choosing the same nominal size: the casing tube OD, wall thickness, shoe dimensions, and threaded or welded configuration must all be coordinated.

Eccentric and concentric product pages define the casing-system mechanism and its system-specific configuration. This page remains focused on casing-shoe specifications. When a shoe is required for an existing system, the complete assembly information should be supplied for checking.

Selection and Ordering Information

Begin by confirming whether a threaded or welded casing shoe is required. Then identify the matching casing tube OD and wall thickness and compare the listed outer diameter, minimum inner diameter, and weight. For a threaded configuration, also confirm the thread type and left-hand rotation shown in the table.

For a quotation, provide the required shoe type, matching casing tube OD and wall thickness, connection method, quantity, and complete casing-system or assembly information. For replacement or compatibility checks, also provide current product markings, measured dimensions, clear photos, or technical drawings.

Why Choose MSD

MSD is a China-based rock drilling tools manufacturer supplying casing shoes, casing tubes, casing systems, and related drilling components. MSD has 23 years of rock drilling tools manufacturing experience, exports to 40+ countries, and operates under ISO 9001 certified quality management.

For a casing-shoe enquiry, the MSD team reviews the required shoe type, matching casing tube dimensions, connection details, and complete assembly information before confirming a listed configuration.

Frequently Asked
Questions

Drilling casing shoes are casing-end components used with casing tubes in drilling casing assemblies. This page covers threaded and welded shoe configurations, matching tube sizes, listed dimensions, connection details where applicable, and weight; it does not represent a complete eccentric or concentric casing system.
MSD lists threaded and welded casing shoes for 12 matching casing tube OD sizes: 108, 114, 127, 146, 168, 178, 183, 194, 219, 245, 273, and 325 mm. Only the exact rows and dimensions shown in the two parameter tabs are confirmed.
Both groups list matching casing tube OD, casing-shoe outer diameter, minimum inner diameter, matching tube wall thickness, and weight. The threaded group also lists Square Tooth or Arc Thread connections and left-hand rotation, while the welded group does not assign thread or rotation values.
Confirm the shoe type, matching casing tube OD and wall thickness, casing-shoe outer diameter, and minimum inner diameter. For a threaded shoe, also confirm the listed thread type and left-hand rotation. The complete casing assembly should be checked because nominal size alone does not confirm compatibility.
Provide the required threaded or welded shoe type, matching casing tube OD and wall thickness, connection method, quantity, and complete casing-system or assembly information. For replacement or compatibility checks, also provide current product markings, measured dimensions, clear photos, or technical drawings.
