Bullet teeth for foundation and rotary drilling, available with a 30 mm shank. Confirm holder, tool body, ground conditions and dimensions before ordering.
MSD bullet teeth are carbide cutting picks for foundation and rotary drilling tools, including rock augers, auger buckets, and core barrels. The current range uses a 30 mm shank; confirm the holder, dimensions, tool body, and ground conditions before selection or quotation.
APPLICATIONS
CASE STUDIES
MSD bullet teeth are carbide cutting picks designed for foundation drilling, rotary drilling, and piling applications.
These foundation drilling teeth are used as cutting components on tools such as rock augers, auger buckets, and core barrels. The tooth, holder, mounting arrangement, and drilling tool body should be reviewed as one cutting system.
Selection depends on the drilling application, ground or rock conditions, existing tooth dimensions, holder details, tool configuration, and the required cutting arrangement. The general product name alone does not confirm the correct replacement.
Rock auger teeth are used where a rotary drilling tool must cut and loosen ground or rock before the excavated material is removed. Auger buckets and core barrels use different tool-body layouts and cutting arrangements, so the application should be identified before selecting a tooth.
For piling and foundation work, provide whether the teeth will be mounted on a rock auger, auger bucket, core barrel, or another confirmed foundation drilling tool. Also describe the formation, drilling method, and the condition of the existing cutting tools.
A tooth used on one tool body should not be assumed suitable for another solely because both are foundation drilling tools. Holder geometry, mounting position, available clearance, and dimensional matching must be confirmed for the actual assembly.
The current MSD bullet teeth range is organized as a 30 mm shank product group. Shank diameter is an essential matching dimension, but it does not establish holder compatibility by itself.
Compare the published model, head diameter, body diameter, shank diameter, carbide tip diameter, head length, shank length, and overall length with the existing tooth or confirmed tool requirement.
If the old tooth has no readable model marking, provide measured dimensions, clear photographs from several angles, and a drawing or physical sample where available. Do not substitute another shank size or infer interchangeability from a similar appearance.
Carbide tip diameter, head geometry, and overall pick geometry should be reviewed against the formation and drilling application. Soil, weathered material, mixed ground, and rock can impose different cutting, impact, and abrasion conditions.
Photographs of used teeth can help identify the observed wear pattern, tip damage, body wear, or uneven contact. This information supports selection but does not replace confirmation of the shank, holder interface, and complete dimensions.
Material details and performance expectations should be confirmed for the specific request rather than inferred from a competitor product or a similar-looking tooth.
The correct bullet tooth must match the holder and the mounting arrangement on the drilling tool body. Confirm the 30 mm shank requirement together with shank length, head and body dimensions, retention details, installation clearance, and holder condition.
Before ordering a replacement, provide the existing tooth model or markings, holder photographs and dimensions, drilling-tool type, mounting position, and complete tooth measurements. Similar-looking products are not automatically interchangeable.
For a new tool configuration, provide the rock auger, auger bucket, core barrel, or other tool-body drawing together with the planned application and ground conditions. MSD does not claim universal compatibility with machine brands, holders, or third-party product numbers.
For a non-standard requirement or a replacement not represented by the current specification table, send the available drawing, dimensions, photographs, or sample to MSD for separate technical and supply confirmation.
MSD is a China-based rock drilling and cutting tools manufacturer with 23 years of manufacturing experience, exporting products to customers in 40+ countries.
The MSD team can review the foundation or rotary drilling application, 30 mm shank requirement, published dimensional fields, holder and tool-body information, ground conditions, photographs, drawings, samples, and required quantity before confirming an available model.
For a bullet teeth quotation, provide the drilling application, formation description, drilling-tool type, holder details, existing tooth model or markings, measured dimensions, photographs, required quantity, and destination. This supports dimensional matching, application review, quotation, and supply planning.
