Read MoreA DTH hammer breakout bench is a hydraulic workshop machine used to secure a DTH hammer and apply controlled force when loosening tight threaded connections. It is commonly used during inspection and maintenance when the top sub, driver chuck, or another threaded hammer connection is difficult to loosen.
The shortened term DTH breakout bench may also be used for this equipment. The bench provides a fixed servicing platform and a purpose-built arrangement for positioning the hammer and the threaded component being removed.
Final compatibility depends on the actual DTH hammer outside diameter, hammer construction, threaded component, and fixture configuration. Nominal hammer size alone is not sufficient to confirm the correct bench.
DTH hammer threaded connections operate under repeated percussion, rotation, and mechanical loading during drilling.
