4 Inch DTH Hammers

4 Inch DTH Hammers

MSD 4 inch DTH hammers cover six models for Ø110–135 mm drilling. All use an Ø99 mm outer diameter, API 2 3/8" REG connection, 1.0–2.2 MPa working pressure, and 30–60 r/min rotation, with model-specific shanks, sizes, weights, and air consumption.

Product descriptions

MSD 4 inch DTH hammers are available in MSD4A, DHD340, QL40, M40, SD4, and TD40 configurations for approximately 110–135 mm hole diameters. These models share an Ø99 mm outer diameter and API 2 3/8" REG connection thread, while their bit shanks, lengths, weights, and air consumption differ. Confirm the required hole diameter, bit shank, compressor pressure, and compressor capacity before ordering.

Frequently Asked
Questions

These 4 inch DTH hammers are specified for Ø110–135 mm drilling. The selected drill bit diameter should remain within this confirmed range, while the hammer model, Bit Shank, Top Sub thread, and operating requirements should also be checked before ordering.
The available models are MSD4A, DHD340, QL40, M40, SD4, and TD40. They use MSD4A, DHD340, QL40, MISSION40, SD4, and TD40 Bit Shanks respectively. The models also differ in length, weight, and air consumption.
Start with the Bit Shank required by the selected drill bit or existing drilling system, then confirm the corresponding hammer model. A similar nominal hammer size does not automatically confirm compatibility. The Top Sub thread, drill-pipe connection, dimensions, working pressure, and other confirmed parameters should also be checked.
The six models have a confirmed working pressure range of 1.0–2.2 MPa, but their air-consumption requirements differ. The compressor's rated pressure and rated discharge capacity should be compared with the exact air-consumption values listed for the selected model and operating pressure.
Please provide the required hole diameter, preferred hammer model if already known, Bit Shank, current DTH bit model if available, Top Sub thread, drill-pipe connection, any adapter used, drill-rig model, compressor rated pressure, compressor rated discharge capacity, drilling application, rock formation, and expected hole depth.
